Rockaway Teen Arrested For Nasau Armed Robbery From April

BREAKING: Police are still searching for the second man involved in the robbery.

A teenager from Far Rockaway was arrested Thursday evening in connection with an armed robbery that police say took place on April 26 in Inwood.

According to police, on April 26 at 5:50 a.m., a 31-year-old man was walking near the Inwood train station when he was approached by two men. One of those men, police say, was Brandon Secreto, 16, of Redfern Avenue. The other man, who has not yet been arrested, pulled out a knife, and the two allegedly demanded the man's cash, wallet and cell phone. The victim complied, and the two robbers allegedly fled to the Redfern Apartments. No one was injured.

A police investigation led to the arrest of Secreto for the crime. He is charged with first- and second-degree robbery. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
