Thieves Snatch $380,000 In Jewelry From Man's Hands
Thieves seemed to target the man, who was a jeweler who had just come back from visiting numerous jewelry stores.

LAWRENCE, N.Y. — Nassau police are investigating a robbery that occurred Thursday night in Lawrence, in which a man had hundreds of thousands of dollars in jewelry literally pulled from his hands.
According to police, a 51-year-old man, a jeweler by trade, was returning to his home in Lawrence at 8:25 p.m. after visiting jewelry stores throughout New York City. He was walking up to his front door with a rolling suitcase containing approximately $380,000 worth of jewelry when he suddenly had the bag pulled from his hand by two unknown men who then fled. The man saw them get into a minivan parked on Meadow Lane. The man got back into his car to follow the thieves, but lost sight of them.
The man, who was uninjured, was unable to give a description of the thieves.
