Long Island Plane Crash Injures 3 Flushing Residents
A small plane holding three Flushing residents crashed into the front yard of a Long Island home Sunday night.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — Three Flushing residents were on board a small plane that crashed into the front yard of a Long Island home Sunday night, according to reports.
The pilot and two passengers inside a Cessna Skyhawk suffered minor injuries after the single-engine plane went down in Valley Stream about 10:15 p.m. on Sunday.
Nassau Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder identified the pilot as Dongl Kim, 27, and the passengers as Hung Joo-Na, 29 and Jung Woo, 26, according to the Associated Press. The three Flushing residents were able to free themselves from the plane, which became entangled in power lines, sources told Patch.

The plane was headed for Republic Airport in Farmingdale, according to Flight Aware, but the pilot changed course after several attempted landings and headed toward John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens.
