DO'S & DON'TS-OWNERS OF COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES!

As a Real Estate Broker completing my 34th Year In Business, there is news for Investors of Commercial Properties, and or Mixed Use Properties. The Do's & Don'ts of being a Landlord. 1) Let a Professional Broker with Experience handle all of your Real Estate matters. I have been renting Commercial Retail spaces for three decades, and finding the right tenant is the number 1 objective. There is much work to be done, registration, financial background, credit reports, and the actual physical showings. Lastly, I always collected my fee from the Tenant not the Landlord. 2) Landlords sometimes are taken advantage of by Tenants, and even there own Lawyers. Note* Even when a lease must be drawn up, typical time frame is 5 working days. And if you are a novice Landlord, or even a successful Professional in the field of owning a Business, or Medical Profession, sometimes you may be overcharged for that lease by the attorney you selected. TRUISM AT ITS BEST. Many of my clients own a half dozen buildings and some own dozens of buildings, yet they do not hesitate to attain my services each and every time there is a vacancy.
