State Police Still Seeking Info in 2001 Death of Wyanda Williams
She was thrown from a car on the Southern State. Her killer has never been found.

The New York State Police are still investigating the 15-year-old murder of Freeport resident Wyanda Williams.
According to police, Williams, 35, was thrown from a moving car on the Southern State Parkway in the early morning hours of Sept. 9, 2001. Police were dispatched to the report of a body lying in the roadway. Williams was struck several times by passing cars, and the car she was allegedly thrown from was never positively identified.
An investigation revealed Williams lived just miles from the crime scene and frequented the Hempstead area. Very limited information is available about Williams’ family and friends.
