Cops: Garden City Woman Drove Drunk, Crashed with Daughter in Car
Incident happened Saturday afternoon, police said.

A Garden City woman had her young daughter in the car when she drove drunk and slammed into another car Saturday afternoon, according to Nassau County Police.
Cops said that at 2:30 p.m., Laura Catell, 42, was driving east on 6th Street near Cathedral Avenue when she collided into another car.
Responding officers concluded that Catell was intoxicated and took her into custody at the scene, cops said.

No one was injured in the collision, police said.

Cops said Catell had her 7-year-old daughter in the car at the time of the accident. Her daughter was reportedly picked up at the scene by a family member.

Catell was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a BAC above .08, aggravated driving while intoxicated, DWI under Leandra’s Law, and endangering the welfare of a minor. She will be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
