Cops: Hempstead Man Stabbed 2 After Argument
Incident happened early Monday morning, police said.

A Hempstead man stabbed two people after arguing with them early Monday morning, according to Nassau County Police.
At 1:50 a.m., Marvin Mejia, 32, stabbed two men in the abdomen in front on Main Street in Hempstead, cops said. Mejia had just argued with the victims, one of whom struck him in the head with a belt to defend himself, police said.
Both victims, ages 32 and 38, went to a nearby hospital where they are now in stable condition, cops said.

Mejia was taken into custody at a hospital where he was being treated with a head laceration, cops said. He was charged with first- and second-degree assault and fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon. He will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
