LONG BEACH, NY — The new coronavirus continues to plague Garden City, and has lead to a complete disruption in everyday life for many residents.

As of March 29, there were 48 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Garden City. There were 8,544 confirmed cases in Nassau County, and 63 residents had died from the virus.

NY PAUSE has shut down most of the state. All non-essential businesses are closed, and citizens have been told not to go out of their homes. The order was recently extended until April 15. It's also important to maintain social distancing to stop the spread of the virus, which means staying at least six feet away from other people.
