Man Tries to Buy Items at Neiman Marcus With Fake Credit Card: Police

The arrest was made on Thursday evening.

EAST GARDEN CITY, NY - A Jamacia man was arrested after trying to make a purchase of over $450 using a fake credit card at a store in Roosevelt Field Mall on Thursday evening, according to Nassau Police.

Kristoff McKenzie, 21, used a fake credit card to purchase merchandise worth a total of $455 at Neiman Marcus on 620 Old Country Road, according to police.

An “Asset Protection Agent” for the store confronted McKenzie and held him until police arrived.

During his arrest, McKenzie was found to be in possession of another fraudulent credit card, police said.

He is charged with two counts of second degree possession of a forged instrument, police said.
