Nassau Man Drove Drunk With Toddlers In Car: Police
Police say the man was driving drunk, and had a 1-year-old and a 2-year-old in the car.

A Hempstead man was arrested Thursday night after police say he was found driving drunk with two toddlers in the car.
According to Hempstead police, Jose Perez, 48, of Fulton Avenue, was driving a 2002 Honda Sedan and was seen by officers on patrol to make an illegal turn near the intersection of Jackson Street and Washington Street at 9:25 p.m. The officers pulled Perez over, and police say they determined he was drunk. He was arrested without incident.
There were two children in the car, a 1-year-old and a 2-year-old. They were released into the custody of their mothers.

Perez is charged with DWI, two counts of aggravated DWI (Leandra's Law), two counts of aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and multiple traffic violations. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday, July 26 in First District Court in Hempstead.
