Police ID Victim, Who Has Died, In Nassau Shooting
Police say two men were shot in the street and left there early Monday morning. One of them has died from his injuries.

UPDATE, JAN. 19: Police say that one of the men who was shot has died from his injuries. Police identified him as Matthew Gilreath, 28, of Hempstead.
ORIGINAL STORY, JAN. 18: Two men were shot in Hempstead early Saturday morning, and Nassau Count police are seeking any information the public has.
According to police, officers responded to call for a shooting in front of 100 Terrace Ave. at 2:47 a.m. When they arrived, they found two men that had been shot. They were both taken to nearby hospitals with serious injuries.

Police have not identified the men.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
