iPhone Robber Caught After Selfie Uploaded To iCloud
Police busted an iPhone thief after she took a selfie with the victim's phone, which automatically uploaded to the victim's cloud storage.

UNION SQUARE, NY — Police busted an employee at the art-supply store A.I. Friendman on West 18th Street for stealing a shopper's iPhone in the store, police said. The employee stole the phone on Dec. 10 and was arrested and charged for criminal possession of stolen property on Dec. 13, police told Patch.
DNAinfo reported that the suspect, Nina Roman, 27, of Brooklyn, took a selfie with the victim's phone, which automatically uploaded to the victim's cloud storage. This led the officers to Roman.
At about 4:30 p.m. Dec. 10, the 27-year-old female shopper placed her phone down on a shelf, turned around and had her phone stolen when she turned her back, police told Patch.

Officers went back to the store and arrested Roman for criminal possession of stolen property on Dec. 13, police said.
