Kips Bay Slashing: 53-Year-Old Man Arrested For Bloody Robbery
Breaking: The man walked into a Kips Bay tailor shop earlier this week, slashed a worker and made off with cash.
KIPS BAY, NY — A 53-year-old man has been arrested in the bloody slashing of a 78-year-old Kips Bay tailor earlier this week, the NYPD said.
John Franklyn was arrested late Wednesday night and charged with attempted murder, robbery, assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
He lives on East 30th St. between 1st Avenue and FDR Drive, police said.

The man allegedly walked into the tailor shop Monday afternoon and slashed the worker before making off with $80 in cash.
