19-Year-Old Woman Dies in Lake Success Crash

A 19-year-old woman was killed after she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a tree in Lake Success Monday night, according to Nassau County Police.

The crash occurred on the eastbound Long Island Expressway South Service Road, near Community Drive, at 7:30 p.m., police said.

The woman, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene by a Nassau County ambulance medical technician at 7:50 p.m.

The crash took place close to William A. Shine Great Neck South High School.

Police do not suspect criminality.

No passengers were in the vehicle during the crash, police said.
