Councilwoman Seeman Honors Runners Club

Group helps raise funds for Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior.

Town of North Hempstead Councilwoman Lee R. Seeman honored The New Hyde Park Runners Club on June 20,  following the success of the club's Annual 8K Championship race that was held on earlier in the month.

During the event which was sponsored by Councilwoman Seeman of Great Neck, non-perishable food was collected to help the homeless, in memory of Jake Danzi for the Mary Brennan Inn.

The June 2 race, which started and ended at at the Denton Avenue School. All proceeds benefitted Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior, according to the Town of North Hempstead.

Stephen Cipot, with community outreach and sponsorships for New Hyde Park Runners Club presented a certificate by Seeman for his contributions to the race and the community.

Councilwoman Seeman of District 5 represents the communities of North New Hyde Park, Garden City Park, Floral Park and the villages of Saddle Rock, Great Neck Estates, Great Neck Plaza, Russell Gardens, University Gardens, Lake Success and other unincorporated areas.
