Geller Barred From United Kingdom

Activist had speech cancelled by Great Neck Synagogue in March.

Pamela Geller, a staunch critic of Islamic terrorism, has been banned from entering the United Kingdom by Home Secretary Theresa May.

Geller, who was forced to reschedule a Great Neck speech in March after being cancelled by the Great Neck Synagogue, was barred from Britain for her planned rally against the recent London street slaying of a British soldier by a meat clever-wielding Muslim.

"In a striking blow against freedom, the British government has banned us from entering the country," said Geller on her Atlas Shrugs blog. "In not allowing us into the country solely because of our true and accurate statements about Islam, the British government is behaving like a de facto Islamic state. The nation that gave the world the Magna Carta is dead."

Last month, regarding the brutal terrosit attack, May said "despicable acts like this will not go unpunished."

In a Home Office statement, Geller was criticized for speaking out: "We condemn all those whose behaviors and views run counter to our shared values and will not stand for extremism in any form."

Hundreds turned out to Chabad of Great Neck March 17 to hear Geller voice her opinion. After the Great Neck talk, she spoke at a demonstration at the Nassau Human Rights Commission in Mineola against, what she says, was a coordinated effort to have her silenced in Great Neck.

Chabad of Great Neck Rabbi Yoseph Geisinsky said he couldn't stay silent while "evil was acting" and invited Geller to present her talk: The Imposition of Sharia in America.

"We believe in free speech," said Geisinsky. "We cannot just stay silent, that's the reason we thought it was important."
