Appointment of Two Board-Certified Neurologists

MANHASSET, NY – North Shore-LIJ’s Cushing Neuroscience Institute today announced the appointments of board-certified neurologists Li-Fen Chen, MD and Beth Silverstein, DO, both of whom will serve the Glen Cove and Great Neck communities. 

Dr. Chen received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and completed her residency training in internal medicine and neurology at the Montefiore Medical Center (University Hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine).  She then completed a fellowship in neuromuscular disorders and electromyography at the University of Maryland Medical Center.  Dr. Chen’s specialties include general neurology, neuromuscular medicine and electromyography.

            Dr. Silverstein received her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating with honors, and completed her residency training in the department of neurology at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center. She also completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at North Shore.   Dr. Silverstein’s specialties include general neurology, neuromuscular medicine and neurophysiology.
