This Weekend: Music Recital at Library
Bass-baritone Daniel Klein and mezzo-soprano Jessica Renfro to perform.

The Great Neck Library will present performances by singers Daniel Klein and Jessica Renfro on Sunday.
The music recital will consist completely of scenes and duets from opera and musical theater including: Don Giovanni (Mozart), Lohengrin (Wagner), Albert Herring (Britten), Kiss Me Kate, South Pacific, Carousel and Sweeney Todd.
The majority of the program will be in English. Don Giovanni will be sung in Italian and Lohengrin will be sung in German.
Klein, a Great Neck native, is renowned for his bass-baritone versatility, capturing the iconic psychological terror of Verdi’s villains, Lago (Otello) and Count de Luna (Il Trovatore) at the Taconic Opera.
Renfro, a mezzo-soprano, is described by critics as “the Ferrari on stage ... alert and quick in her acting, and superb as a singer.” She recently performed the Hansel in Hansel and Gretel in Boheme Opera of New Jersey.
The free performance begins at 2:30 p.m. in the library's Community Room, at 159 Bayview Ave.
