Woman Struck By Car While Crossing Street In Great Neck

A woman is in serious condition after she was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street on Monday morning in Great Neck, police say.

According to authorities, the 22-year-old woman was crossing South Middle Neck Rod when she was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound at 8:10 a.m.

She was transported to a local hospital where she is listed in serious condition.

The 45-year-old man driving the vehicle remained at the scene.

The Nassau County Homicide Squad's investigation into the crash is ongoing.
