Harlem Metro North Station To Be Renovated

The Harlem-125th Street station is one of five Metro North Railroad stops getting design improvements.

HARLEM, NY — The Metro North Railroad will make repairs and design enhancements at the Harlem-125th Street station, the MTA announced last week.

The Harlem-125th Street station, located on Park Avenue, is one of five stations in the Metro North Railroad system that will receive renovations, the MTA announced. Improvements coming to the station include new signage, platforms, lighting and WiFi connectivity, the transit agency announced.

Improvements at the five stations will be funded by a $91.5 million design-build contract awarded to the firm Halmar International, the MTA announced. A a design-build contract expedites the renovation process because one team of designers and contractors is responsible for the entire project.
