Man Fatally Shot In Head Inside East Harlem Bodega, Police Say

EAST HARLEM, NY — The NYPD is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday night in East Harlem, police said.

Police received a call of a shooting inside a bodega on Lexington Avenue between East 115th and 116th streets shortly before 8:30 p.m. Thursday, an NYPD spokesman said. When officers arrived at the scene they discovered the body of a 49-year-old man suffering a gunshot wound to the head, police said.

The man, who has not been identified, was rushed to St. Luke's Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The NYPD is still investigating the shooting and has not made any arrests, police said.
