Man Shot, Killed While Sitting In Mercedes-Benz In Harlem: NYPD

The 38-year-old victim was in the passenger seat of a parked car on 150th St. and 8th Ave. by a gunman who escaped after the shooting.

HARLEM, NY – A 38-year-old man was shot and killed early Thursday morning while he was sitting in the passenger seat of a Mercedes-Benz in Harlem by an assailant who then ran from the scene, police said.

No arrests have been made in the shooting, which took place at 2:06 a.m. on West 150th Street and 8th Avenue, a NYPD spokeswoman said. The man was sitting in the car, which was idling while parked in front of a building in the 2300 block of 8th Avenue when the gunman approached the car and shot the man in the torso.

The victim, who has not been identified pending notification of his family, was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police do not have any description of the suspect as the investigation continues.
