Knife-Wielding Robber Strikes Another Nassau Business
Police say this incident is part of the pattern of recent knifepoint robberies in Nassau County.
Detectives say a knifepoint robbery at a Subway restaurant on Tuesday evening is part of a similar pattern of knifepoint robberies that have occurred in Nassau County since February, police say.
According to authorities, a masked man entered Subway, located at 347 Old Country Road in Carle Place, approached the 37-year-old employee, displayed a knife and demanded cash from the register at 5:53 p.m.
The robber left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen walking north on Cherry Lane, police say.

No customers were in the store at the time of the robbery and no injuries were reported.
Police described the robber as 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a stocky build and his race is unknown. He was wearing a dark waist-length jacket, light-colored cargo pants, a dark scarf covering his face and gloves.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding these robberies to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
