The men were arguing about money, police say.

A homeless man was arrested for stabbing another homeless man in the chest Monday night, police say.

According to authorities, Richard Janicky, 71, was on Newbridge Road, near West John Street, when he began arguing with another homeless man over money owed to him at 7:50 p.m.

Janicky pulled out a knife and stabbed the 57-year-old man in the left side of his chest, causing a laceration, and fled on foot, police say. The injured man was taken to a local hospital and treated for his wound.
