Deaf, Mute New Cassel Man Located [UPDATE]

UPDATED Tuesday at 2 a.m.: Police say Mohammed Saleem, 31, of New Cassel, has been located.

Police are looking to locate a missing New Cassel man who is deaf, mute and has Down syndrome.

According to authorities, Mohammed Saleem, 31, was last seen Sunday at 4:50 p.m. leaving an Elderberry Lane home on foot in an unknown direction.

Police say he was wearing a blue and red checkered shirt, dark pants and tan boots.

Police described Saleem as 5 feet 2 inches tall, 100 pounds, with black-colored eyes, a black mustache and black hair.

Saleem was also reported missing in February but was located a short time later.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding Saleem's whereabouts to contact the Missing Persons Squad at 516-573-7347 or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
