Teen Seriously Hurt When E-Scooter Strikes Town Of Oyster Bay Garbage Truck In Hicksville: Police (patch.com) — Hicksville residents are being alerted after a 17-year-old riding an e-scooter was seriously injured in a collision with a Town of Oyster Bay garbage truck at Genesee Street and Cortland Avenue. Police say the teen failed to stop at a stop sign before striking the truck and is now in stable condition at a local hospital, while detectives from the 8th Squad continue to investigate.

Nassau Man Choked Woman And Bit Her Face 'Multiple Times' In Argument That Turned Physical: Police (patch.com) — A woman is in critical but stable condition after Nassau police say a 21-year-old Hicksville man choked and repeatedly bit her face during a late-night argument at a Harding Avenue home. Officers arrested him at the scene and found he was violating an existing order of protection; he now faces serious assault and contempt charges and was held for arraignment in Hempstead.
