2 Charged in Huntington Station House Raid to Appear in Court

The men face drugs and weapons charges, the Suffolk District Attorney's office says.

Two Huntington Station men facing drugs and weapons charges are to appear in court in Riverhead Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The Suffolk County District Attorney’s office says that during the execution of a Dec. 11 search warrant at a home on Lowndes Avenue, Samuel Spells, 32, tried to escape by jumping onto the roof outside his bedroom. Spells is a five-time prior felon on parole, the DA’s office said.

Officials say Spells had five loaded guns including a handgun near his bed and an assault weapon with an attachment for a high capacity ammunition feeding device in his room. Second precinct detectives also seized cocaine, a scale, and packaging materials found in his room, the DA’s office said.
