Carnival of Reading Draws Youngsters

South Huntington library and teen volunteers keep kids busy on holiday.

About 40 children and a small army of teenage volunteers turned out at the South Huntington Public Libary Monday.

Kids played word games, read books, got temporary tattoos and generally had fun on a day off from school because of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The reading carnival took over the young adults and children's section of the ground floor.
