Daly Road Ramp to Close Permanently
Any southbound traffic that wishes to continue on Daly Road will have to make a right turn at the intersection starting Tuesday.

This slip ramp allows southbound traffic to continue on Daly Road at the intersection of Larkfield and Hauppauge Roads.
Any southbound traffic that wishes to continue on Daly Road will have to make a right turn at the intersection starting Tuesday, the Town of Huntington reports.

This intersection will undergo construction for the Daly Road/Hauppauge Road sidewalk and traffic calming project. The project hopes to calm traffic on Daly Road and improve pedestrian safety on Hauppauge Road.
The funding for the project comes from a $700,000 state grant, the Town reports.

The project plans to construct:
- A dedicated right turn lane at the intersection of Larkfield and Hauppauge Road.
- New traffic signals on Daly Road at the Blacksmith Lane, Wicks Road and Willoughby Path intersections. The signals, which are in the process of being installed, will be configured as “rest in red” function to control traffic speed, according to the Town.
- A sidewalk on the north side of Hauppauge Road.
