- Walt Whitman falls in Long Island Championship game. It was a great season for Walt Whitman football, as they finished 11-1 after losing to Massapequa 38-35 in the Long Island championship game Friday. The Wildcats were down two scores late in the fourth quarter, but rallied back to tie the game late. Massapequa would go on to score on a last second field goal to win the championship. - French Bulldog Stolen in Huntington home Burglary, reward offered. Social media is ablaze after a French Bulldog was stolen from a home on Robin Lane in Huntington on Thanksgiving. The dog, Stella, is 4 years old and approximately 20 pounds, police said. A Sony PlayStation 5 was also swiped from the house, police said. There are $8,000 total rewards for this case, and if you have any information call the dog's owner at 516-236-7299. Organic Pest Management Solutions is also offering $3,000 for information.
