Greenlawn Man, 85, Airlifted to Hospital After Crash Near VA Medical Center
He was leaving the VA Medical Center when he failed to negotiate a left turn Wednesday night, police said.
An 85-year-old Greenlawn man was airlifted to a local hospital after his car crashed into a wooded area Wednesday night in East Northport, police said.
According to authorities, William Mackenzie was exiting the Northport VA Medical Center when he failed to negotiate a left turn onto Middleville Road, which caused his 2010 Ford Focus to crash into a wooded area and a dirt bank at 9:40 p.m.
He was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital and is listed in stable condition.
