A Holiday Shopping Experience to Remember in Huntington
Children in Suffolk enjoy a midweek excursion.
Holiday cheer came about early this year Huntington, thanks to Suffolk County Police Department and Target.
The two collaborated to give underprivileged children in Suffolk County a holiday shopping experience on Tuesday.
Dozens of children participated in Target’s nationwide program known as “Heroes & Helpers,” during which children between 4 and 16 years old each received a $50 Target gift card.

Suffolk County Police officers, as well as members of the Suffolk County Police Explorers program, a public service group for young adults, assisted children during their shopping trip. The children could spend the gift cards on anything in the store and Target supplied the pizza.
A similar event took place in Central Islip.
