  1. Police looking for person who stole catalytic converter off car in Huntington Station. The theft occurred on East 23rd Street at approximately 4:45 a.m. on July 10. The vehicle targeted was a 2004 Honda Accord and the part is valued at $300. Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-221-TIPS. (Huntington Patch)
  2. Check out our Northport adoptable pet of the week, Costello. Costello is a beautiful 6-year-old cat and has been with the Northport Cat Rescue Association for two years. Click on the link to learn more about him and see adorable pictures of this stud! (Patch)
  3. Heat advisory in effect Thursday morning through Friday evening. The Town of Huntington will be extending lifeguard hours at beaches and also open cooling centers to help residents combat the heat.
