  1. Police warn the public about deception robberies. Suffolk County Police know of at least four people who have been targeting and stealing from women in retail parking lots since mid-July. Check out all the incidents reported in the link and make sure to stay alert in parking lots. If something doesn't feel right, call 911 right away. (Patch)
  2. Pedestrian hit and seriously injured Wednesday night in Cold Spring Harbor. The unnamed pedestrian was walking on Shore Rd. around 6:15 p.m. when he was struck by a 40-year-old man driving a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The pedestrian was seriously injured and transported to the hospital. (Huntington Patch)
  3. Northwell Health opens new $10M multidisciplinary facility at 400 Main St. in Huntington. "Northwell is extremely excited to open this beautiful destination practice," said Stephen Bello, regional executive director of Northwell's Eastern region. "This location is another demonstration of Northwell's commitment to integrated, multidisciplinary, care within the communities we serve." The facility will provide primary care and multi-specialty care for women. (Huntington Patch)
