Here are the top 3 stories today in Huntington:
- Town of Oyster Bay to hold baby formula drive to help those in need. With the shortage of baby formula in America, many parents are panicking and looking for assistance. Oyster Bay will be holding a formula drive, in which residents can donate unexpired and unused formula to those in need. The drive will be held on May 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Marjorie Post Park. "We all know that once little ones move onto food, families are often left with extra formula in their pantries. We ask that you open your hearts and cupboards by donating unexpired, unused formula for families facing shortages and empty store shelves", said Town Councilman Steve Labriola. (Patch)
- DoorDash convenience store coming to Commack. Food delivery became an integral part of the Long Island economy during the pandemic, and delivery giant Doordash continues to capitalize on that. Dashmart will be heading to a vacant building at 6133 Jericho Tpke., which will be a delivery only convenience store, offering thousands of household items and local restaurant favorites delivered right to your doorstep. - Check out the newest Huntington Police Blotter. In the most recent police blotter, a woman used a stolen credit card at Walgreens on May 6 and then damaged Community Market days later.
