  1. Two men are wanted for stealing $1,500 worth of Polo shirts from Bloomingdales at the Walt Whitman Mall. The crime occurred on Feb 8, and the two men are on camera and described as ages 25 to 35. They are wanted for grand larceny. Police are asking anyone with information to call Suffolk County Crimestoppers at 1-800-221-TIPS. (Huntington Patch)

  3. A man was seriously injured in Huntington Station crash Sunday night. Sunday brought snow that lasted all day and created slick driving conditions at night with many side roads left untreated. A Huntington Station man was seriously injured when his car slid off the road and hit a tree on West 11th St. The crash happened at 9 p.m. and the man was brought to Huntington Hospital in serious condition.   4. Huntington Community Development Agency begins handing out COVID-19 test kits for residents. Distribution of tests will start at Manor Field Park in Huntington Station until the tests run out. Pre-registration is required, and each household can receive up to four test kits. The tests will be given out on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesdays from 3 to 7 p.m., and Fridays from 1 to 4 p.m. “Thanks to our remaining 2020 CARES Act funding, the Town CDA is now able to distribute 10,080 at-home test kits and administer 2,000 free rapid tests to give Huntington families peace of mind that it is safe to gather and visit with at-risk family members,” said Town Supervisor Ed Smyth.   • Huntington Union Free School District: The Huntington band returns in concert on Wednesday night. “We are very excited about taking the stage on Wednesday,” Mr. Giachetti said. “This is the first live performance the senior symphonic band has had in two years. In fact, this very concert was the last performance the band had since 2020.” The concert starts at 7 p.m. and is free to the public. (Facebook)
