- Fairfield Properties buys Huntington mixed-use property for $15.875 million. The property at 269 New York Ave. and 2 Union Place is on 0.85 acres and has 20 apartments. The restaurant space is leased by Albert's Mandarin and there is an F-45 Training studio in the building as well. (Huntington Patch)

- All of Long Island is now in a severe drought. Last week, it was the South Shore and now it's all of Long Island that National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has put into severe drought status. Six percent of New York is now in a severe drought. (Patch)
