- Northport HS raises more than $10,000 for The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The school's Academy of Finance held its third annual charity volleyball tournament in the beginning of March. "This is a great collaboration between the Academy of Finance Program and local corporate sponsors, where we have unified for the greater good of our community to be able to provide an amazing event right here in Northport," Academy of Finance Coordinator Allison Schwabish said via news release. - Robert Posner, of Northport elected to LI Music Hall of Fame Board. "I am very excited to join the Long Island Music Hall of Fame's board of trustees," Posner stated via news release. "I have followed this wonderful organization for many years and have enjoyed attending their world-class Induction Ceremonies. I am looking forward to contributing to its continued growth, promoting music education and Long Island's diverse musical history."Congratulations Robert! (Patch)
- John’s Crazy Socks cofounder John Cronin visits Washington Drive of Harborfields to spread Down Syndrome awareness. He visited Kelly Lewis' class and the students danced and got to hear about how his company began. "What a wonderful day," Lewis said via news release.
