Here are the top 3 stories today in Huntington:

  1. Huntington's 88th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade is scheduled to be held March 13. The St. Patrick's Day parade will kick off at 2 p.m. and the festivities will be happening all day in town. With COVID-19 infections low and mask mandates gone, the parade will bring some sense of normalcy heading into the spring and summer. The parade is Long Island's oldest and largest, with a 1.5-mile route starting from New York Avenue and ending at The Church of St. Patrick. (Huntington Patch)
  2. Huntington restaurants to make 4,000 meals for families. On March 6 at 3 p.m., families in need can head to the St. Hugh of Lincoln Church parking lot to receive complete meals for free. This will be funded from a partnership between the Harry Chapin Food Bank and Long Island Cares. Racha Thai Cuisine, Prime, and Blind Bat Brewery Bistro will be preparing the meals. (Huntington Patch)
