Huntington High Welcomes New Principal
Current assistant principal Brenden Cusack was unanimously appointed to the position at a trustee meeting Monday night.

The Huntington School Board unanimously appointed assistant principal Brenden Cusack to become Huntington High School’s newest principal at a Monday night meeting of trustees.
Cusack will replace longtime Huntington High School Principal Carmela Leonardi after she retires.

His position as principal will begin on Wednesday, July 1.
“I am excited and truly honored to be moving into this new leadership role at Huntington High School,” Cusack told Huntington UFSD. “Over the last three years, I have come to know our school as an amazing place, filled with opportunities for kids from all walks of life.”

Cusack earned his Master’s degree in adolescent education/English 7-12 from CUNY-Queens College and his Bachelor’s degree in Education from SUNY New Paltz. He received his professional diploma in school administration and supervision from Queens College and recently participated in school leadership training at Harvard College.
