Huntington Police Blotter: Woman Forges 4 Checks
ALSO: Drunken driver crashes into fence, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — Check out some of the recent arrests made in the Huntington area, from Dec. 22 through Dec. 28.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Jatin Anand, 47, of Wheatley Heights, was driving a 2018 Acura ILX on New York Avenue and Broadway in Huntington Station when he was pulled over for a traffic violation around 1:20 a.m. Dec. 28, police said. The officer determined him to be intoxicated, police said. He was arrested and charged with DWI and operating motor vehicle w/ BAC higher than .08 on Dec. 28.
- Nakia Green, 32, of Huntington Station, had four checks issued to another person, signed her name without permission of the check owner, and cashed them, police said. She was arrested and charged with four counts of second-degree forgery: deed/will/contract, two counts of grand larceny and petty larceny on Dec. 27.
- Victor Martinez, 42, of Huntington Station, was driving on Oakwood Road at 12:50 a.m. on Christmas when he crashed into a fence, police said. The officers who interviewed him determined he was intoxicated, police said. He was arrested and charged with DWI on Dec. 25.
