Huntington's Own Jen Chapin to Launch Long Island Arts Alliance Festival
Now it its third year, the month-long festival kicks off Saturday.

Huntington’s Jen Chapin is helping to kick off a fun-filled and free family festival – the third annual Arts Alive LI “Arts Month” taking place from Sept. 27 – Oct 31.
Chapin is one of a host of artists slated to perform on Saturday at the Cradle of Aviation Museum, 1 Davis Row in Garden City.

The event will feature a variety of musical performances, arts programs, a parade, food trucks and a special community mural painting project in Hangar 5.

11 a.m. – Main Stage Lena and the Happy Clam Band
11:30 a.m. – Music & Arts Recital Stage Pursuing JC Band (amazing musicians just 11 to 15 years of age)
12 p.m. – Main Stage American Idol Season 10 Semifinalist Robbie Rosen
1 p.m. – Parade: The First Annual Arts Parade featuring festival goers showing off their artwork, the FREE Players Drumline, Bash the Trash and the Impromptu Kazoo Band
2 p.m. – Music & Arts Recital Stage Jack and the Beanstalk interactive
3 p.m. – Main Stage Jen Chapin Trio
3 p.m. – Music & Arts Recital Stage 16 year old Pianist Elton Ha (slated to perform with Lang Lang in October)
Arts Alive LI is presented by the Long Island Arts Alliance (LIAA) and Bethpage Federal Credit Union with additional support from Long Island Community Foundation, New York Community Bank Foundation, The Macy’s Foundation of Bloomingdale’s and Music & Arts. Additionally, Arts Alive LI is part of an important effort to encourage economic development on and increase cultural arts tourism to Long Island. The project is supported by a grant awarded to the LIAA by New York State’s Empire State Development and the I ♥ NY Division of Tourism under Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Regional Economic Development Council Initiative.
