HUNTINGTON, NY — Huntington Hospital was recognized for its 100th year of membership in the American Hospital Association (AHA), the hospital announced.

"The AHA has a long history of representing and advocating for members of the healthcare community," said Nick Fitterman, MD, executive director of Huntington Hospital. "They ensure their members' perspectives and needs are heard and addressed in national health policy development, legislative and regulatory debates and judicial matters. At Huntington Hospital, we are very proud to have been a part of the AHA for so long. It's truly an honor to be recognized."

AHA Regional Executive Michael Draine presented the award to Fitterman in a ceremony at the hospital on June 3.
