Last Call: Student Artists for Huntington Arts Council Exhibit

Would-be exhibitors best act fast: The entry deadline for the juried art show is Wednesday Oct. 1.

The Huntington Arts Council is inviting young artists from grades K-12 to submit Halloween-inspired artwork for the upcoming Nightmare on Main Street student art exhibit.

The work can be spooky or lighthearted, and using any medium, including acrylic, oil, watercolor and more.

But would-be exhibitors best act fast: The entry deadline is Wednesday Oct. 1.

The show will be juried by Kevin W. McEvoy, with a $50 prize for best-in-show for the senior division in grades 9-12 and junior division in grades K-8.

A costume-party opening reception is slated for Thursday, Oct. 30, from 6-8 p.m. at the Main Street Petite Gallery at 213 Main Street.

The exhibit runs from Oct. 29-Nov. 10.
