Maplewood Intermediate School Evacuated After Threatening Message Found

Police are investigating a threatening message that was found at Maplewood Intermediate School on Tuesday.
The threat was found written on a radiator at the Huntington Station school, but it is not clear when the message was written, police said.
“The school was evacuated and nothing suspicious was found,” police said.

“Because it was raining outside- all of the students and staff were brought to Walt Whitman High School,” a message on the South Huntington School District website reads. “The students will be dismissed from the high school at their regular dismissal time.”
