Cops: Man Robs Hicksville Bank at Gunpoint
Wearing a NY Yankees cap, the robber fled with an unknown amount of cash, police say.
Nassau Police are asking the public’s help in investigating a bank robbery that occurred in Hicksville Monday afternoon.
Detectives say that at 2:06 p.m., a man approached a teller in the Bank of America at 20 Jerusalem Avenue, pulling a black handgun and verbally demanding cash. The man then fled out of the bank on foot in an unknown direction with an unknown amount cash.
The man is described as 5-foot-6 and approximately 40 years old. He was wearing a NY Yankee baseball cap, black leather jacket and black sunglasses, police said.

There were no injuries reported, according to police.
There were six employees and three customers in the bank at the time, police said.

Detectives request that anyone with information regarding this crime to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
