  1. Hiring in Huntington: Requirements Vary on Covid-19 Vaccination. The past two years have been a challenge for us all, and now as we edge closer to the end of the pandemic, companies have new requirements for potential employees. Many are asking for proof of vaccination, and companies in the area desperate for employees are giving hefty sign on bonuses to lure prospective employees. (Huntington Now)
  2. Four Harborfields Students Selected To All-County Jazz Ensemble. "These groups are extremely select — true all-county programs that do not discriminate by district size or regions within the county — and this recognition serves as a firm reflection on these students' work ethic and the guidance they have received from their teachers," the school district wrote in its release.   3. Pumpkins Illuminate the Night at the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze. It's fall on Long Island, and that means pumpkins and the Jack O'Lantern Blaze in Old Bethpage.
