Huntington Spa Worker Accused Of Forcibly Touching Woman, Later Messaging Her On Facebook: Police (patch.com) — Police say a massage therapist at a Hand & Stone spa on Walt Whitman Road in Huntington was arrested after a woman reported he forcibly touched her during a December 2025 session and later contacted her on Facebook. Detectives from the Second Squad charged the Syosset man with forcible touching and are asking anyone in Huntington or nearby who believes they were victimized to call investigators.

Suffolk County To Distribute 240K Rabies Vaccine Baits This Fall (patch.com) — Suffolk County health officials are rolling out 240,000 oral rabies vaccine baits this fall, including in neighborhoods across Huntington, to curb the spread of the deadly virus. Residents may see marked county vehicles slowly tossing fish-scented packets into local woods, drains and hedges, a method officials say is safe for people and pets while protecting raccoons and the wider community.

More than 900 taxing districts on Long Island can make property tax bills difficult to understand (news12.com) — Huntington homeowners are being warned that only about 7% of their property tax bill actually goes to the town, even as the Town Board considers piercing New York's tax cap.
