Voter's Guide: Huntington School Budget, Board Election
What you need to know for election day. And a quick poll.

Huntington residents will vote on the school district’s $120,394,737 proposed budget for the 2015-16 school year on Tuesday, May 19.
The proposal calls for a 2.36 percent increase in spending over the current year and carries a 2.27 percent tax levy increase, which is within the state’s tax cap. If approved, the average Huntington homeowner would pay about $184 additional in school taxes next year, before the STAR program.
Four candidates are running unopposed for seats on the Huntington Board of Education. Candidates include Christine Biernacki, Thomas DiGiacomo, Xavier Palacios and Emily Rogan.

Residents can vote at Huntington High School. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
