Here are the top four stories today in Huntington:

  1. A woman, 22, was seriously injured in Huntington Station crash. Rebecca DeWitt, of Melville, was driving a 2021 Honda when she attempted to make a left turn onto Jericho Turnpike, from southbound Schiller Avenue. Dewitt was then struck by a 2022 BMW being driven westbound on Jericho Turnpike by a 44-year-old Huntington Station woman on Monday at 5:15 p.m., police said. She was airlifted to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. (Huntington Patch)
  2. The town of Oyster Bay brings a free drive-in holiday experience next month. The experience will be free but only to residents and residents must register online. “The town’s free Drive-in Holiday Experience will feature festive lighting displays, a walk-thru holiday village featuring the Massapequa Chiefettes, special appearances by friends from Arendelle and the North Pole, and will feature many children’s favorite snowman in Olaf’s Frozen Adventure,” said Supervisor Saladino. “This event is open to town residents only, with registration online at www.oysterbaytown.com/holiday.” (LongIsland.com)
  3. Check out the most recent Huntington Police Blotter. Three cars were stolen in this week's blotter, including one on a test drive at Porsche in Huntington. The report includes multiple grand larcenies and burglaries. Make sure you keep your doors locked and do not leave your key fob in your car. (Huntington Patch)
  4. Christmas is right around the corner which means it's just about time to buy a tree. We have compiled a list of where you can find a fresh-cut tree near Syosset, and experts say there will not be a shortage of trees this year. “The real Christmas tree industry met demand last year, and it will meet demand this year,” Marsha Gray, executive director of the Real Christmas Tree Board, said in a news release. “This is essentially a year without surprises.” Click the link to see locations selling Christmas trees.
